Sharjah is known as family friendly emirate in UAE. Many nationalities from the world are staying in sharjah. Many areas have the facility where you can get house, room, apartment on rent in less and affordable price.

As per rule once you rent the flat it must be attested from sharjah municipality. The charges of the attestation is 4%  (residential) and 5%  (commercial) of annual rent. The attested must be done with in 90 days of the rent contract otherwise it would be some additional charges as penalties. In other words the sharjah tenancy contract attestation grace period is 90 days no matter its a new contract or renewal of existing contract.

If you haven't attest your current tenancy contract or previous year tenancy contract in sharjah, you can visit any tasheel office in sharjah to attest tenancy contract in sharjah. the payment can be done by credit card or by cash in the tasheel office. there would be some additional service fee for tasheel office.
